A FRENCH 19TH CENTURY NAPOLEON III ST. KINGWOOD, TULIPWOOD, ORMOLU, AND MARBLE MEUBLE D’APPUI.

This remarkable meuble d’appui has elaborate and richly chased ormolu chutes, it’s raised by four cabriole legs with ormolu sabots below the lightly scalloped and elegantly shaped apron adorned by a delicate gilt bronze frieze and central reserve.

At the center are three quarter veneered doors with beautiful floral marquetery and a fine scrolled ebony inlay border incased by a most decorative pierced foliate gilt bronze band.

Both sides of the cabinet are decorated in the same manner.
At the top lays the original marble top with a mottled edge.
