A GRAND SCALE FRENCH 19TH CENTURY NAPOLÉON III DOUBLE FRAMED GILTWOOD MIRROR.

The sides of the brake front base are adorned by fine protruding foliate scroll movements and centered by a carved pierced shell.

The original central beveled mirror is framed within a beaded border amidst four arched shaped beveled mirror plates separated by charming finely carved floral basket reserves. 

The borders with a twisted ribbon design lead up to the elegant corner mounts with four graceful love birds frolicking joined by swaging floral garlands.

Above is the luxuriant top crown centered by two striking  winged cherubs sitting down and facing inwards leaning on an impressive antique urn topped with a bouquet of flowers.

Outstanding details and original gilt throughout.
