A MONUMENTAL FRENCH 19TH CENTURY LOUIS XVI ST. ORMOLU AND GLASS LANTERN.

This outstanding lantern is composed of four original hand-blown glass panels incased by an elegant ormolu beaded band.

At the center is one door which is secured by it’s original latch which opens to access the six scrolled arms inside.

Above is luxuriant and impressive canopy with beautiful scrolled acanthus leaves and swagging floral garlands in addition to four fine toupie shaped block reserves.

All Original gilt throughout.
