A sensational French Late 19th century museum quality ormulu and white carrara marble clock set.

Each monumentally scaled candelabra is raised by three elegant reeded ormulu feet below the white carrara tripode marble base with ormulu scrolling foliage.

The ten light arms are suported by three charming and richly chased puttis facing each other draped in an elegant flowing fabric supporting the striking candelabras above the most decorative antique urn.

Each of the finely scrolled arms are adorned with large richly chased ancathus leaves and fluted candle cup above the saucer, additional centrale candle cup above.

The monumental clock is raised by two extremly high quality and masterfully sculpted
crouching lions, both display intricate lifelike details, facial expressions and stunning manes. In addition are four toupie shaped feet.

Above is a fine ormulu scrolling foliage with a charming finely executed drapé matching the candelabras.

The enameld clock face displays Roman and Arabic numerals, a glass door protects the clock face and displays an ormulu border with a finely detailed floral design.
The whole is surrounded by richly chased ancathus leaf garlands.

At each side charming puttis are leaning with one hand on antique urns whilste holding a fine and intricately detailed floral and foliate garland with the other.

The garlands lead up to two beautiful and most elegant maidens draped in wonderfully executed flowing period attire. All Original gilt throughout.

Henri Vian, was a bronze-caster active in the second half of the 19th Century, he made a lot of interior decorations with chimney mantelpieces, ormulu and patinated-mounted vases, chandelieres...

He produced acrticles of the highest quality.
