A STUNNING AND EXTREMELY DETAILED FRENCH 19 TH CENTURY LOUIS XVI ST. THREE-PIECE ORMOLU CLOCK SET.

Movement signed by Armand Francois Collin (1822-1895).

The clock and original matching pair of candelabras are raised by block feet at the front, toupie shaped ones on the sides and circular feet at the back.

The see through clock is adorned by large acanthus leaves as well as swaging berried laurel garlands centered by ram heads ending in fine cornes d’abondances.

At the center is the elegantly colored enamel dial with Roman numerals and gracefully pierced hands amidst beautiful foliate scrolled elements.

Above is a urn flanked by three winged cherubs topped by an acorn finial.

The ten arm candelabras display a similar décor as well as a tripode monopadea hoof feet at the center leading up to beautifully scrolled arms finishing by fine candle cups and saucers.

Original gilding throughout.
