AN ELEGANT AND VERY HIGH QUALITY LATE 19TH CENTURY PATINATED BRONZE BY I. DE RUDDER (1855-1943).

The statue of a beautiful naked maiden is raised by a naturalistic design base, she is leaning against a well raising one and in the air whilst playing with her hair with the other.

Wonderfully executed with beautiful facial expressions and an original warm patina. 

Isidore de Rudder was a famous Belgium sculpture from the Art nouveau Period and professor at l’academie royale des beaux-arts de Bruxelles.
